The Precision Ceramics Dental Laboratory Story

PCDL First Anniversary 1982 1982 - Our First AnniversaryPrecision Ceramics was established in 1981 by Keith Cunning, RDT and Mark Jackson, RDT. After graduating from the Dental Technology Institute in Orange, CA, and working in Southern California labs, the pair began working as in-house technicians with Keith's father who is a dentist. Working intimately chairside with some of Los Angeles's most discriminating patients, word about their work spread, and the two began to take on outside accounts.

Nearly three decades later, Precision Ceramics Dental Laboratory continues its long history of innovation and stands as a market leader.

1981 - Open for business in rented medical building

1985 - Became a licensed DICOR laboratory
1986 - Became the first laboratory to advertise lab-to-lab Crown & Bridge outsourcing services
1987 - Featured in the customer service text book, "Contrary to what you believe" by Fred Jandt, Ph.D
1988 - Working with specialists at Penn State and UC Davis - became the world's first Veterinary Dental Laboratory
1989 - Opened The Hollywood Smile in Odense, Denmark 1990 - Became a licensed Branemark Laboratory
