Wol-Ceram was introduced to great fanfare in Europe and the United States, and for good reason; it combined the proven and popular performance and esthetics of Vita In-Ceram with cutting edge electrodeposition technology. This allows the In-Ceram slip material to be deposited directly onto the master die, eliminating the need for a refractory die and offering the prospect of improved accuracy.

While marketed by some as an all-ceramic restoration that is capable of being cemented onto any kind of preparation, we still recommend a shoulder or chamfer preparation for the best esthetics, emergence profile and strength.
