Our laboratory produced most of the cases used by Cadent during beta testing and double blind clinical trials. Here's how it works:
Guided by voice prompts, the dentist takes several scans of the teeth and the patient's bite with a hand-held wand until a complete digital image is captured. With each scan, iTero software captures 100,000 data points in a patient's mouth. The digital models are magnified and displayed while the patient is still in the chair. This enhanced visualization, plus real-time analytical tools allows the dental professional to make adjustments if necessary before completing the scanning process, heading off potential issues that might otherwise have gone unnoticed until the seating appointment. For example, the dentist have the ability to view the reduction area from any angle, allowing them to measure and verify proper occlusal reduction. Once approved, the clinician sends the digital image via a wireless Internet connection to us.
Our laboratory customers can have us facilitate the Cadent scans, have the models sent directly here for substructure fabrication, or we have them sent to you for inspection first.
