40 Years of Laboratory Excellence

"Improving smiles one by one since 1981!"

Our business began in 1981, and as we look back — and forward — we know our story is not about us — it is about you, our dentists, veterinary dentists, and the patients they serve. Since that first day, May 3rd 1981, when we opened our doors, Precision Ceramics Dental Laboratory, has grown to be a lab that dentists count on for case excellence, and practice teamwork.

Today we are a full service laboratory and member of the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL). Over the years, our team of professionals has participated in the development and pre-market testing of major new processes and products. We are active in the dental community and provide continuing education resources implant residencies, and a prosthetic continuum. From those first made-by-hand polyether impressions of forty years ago to today’s digital scans, Precision has made it our mission to recognize that each of our dental partners has a unique practice and patient community. We have made it our mission to develop talented technicians, resources, and skillsets to meet the challenges of our dental partners.

“I began the lab in a space that was just under 300 square feet. I was a one-person operation with no competition creating full cast crowns or PFG’s and answering a landline telephone. I began to expand through mail order and offered dentists two free crowns so that they could test my work and prove my worth. Back then, everyone thought I was crazy but it is how we grew. Today we still service many original dentist clients across America or their offspring who have taken over their practices. Things change but I still feel as committed to quality and timely delivery today as I did when I started. That will never change.”

A Chairside Partner

At Precision, we know that while dentistry may be a universal term, each dental practice has a unique workflow and goals to achieve patient and practice success. At Precision Ceramics, we learn about each of our client’s needs and systems so that we complete their cases to fit their individual practices. Moreover, we continually research and provide the latest in materials, technology, talent, and skills so that our dentist partners will have access to any and all the tools they need to serve their patients.

Time flies, technology changes, patient needs expand, but relationships filled with common goals and great communication never change, for they are the constants that ensure patient and practice success.

So, think of us as your chairside partner— we do— and we have been doing it successfully since 1981.

Mark Jackson, In Memoriam.

Mark Jackson became a Partner of Precision Ceramics Dental Laboratory not long after the lab’s initial opening. Mark was a visionary, technical wizard, educator, and laboratory leader. His contributions to the dental laboratory industry live on today for his many innovative ideas, professional methods, and endless energy to experiment with cutting edge ideas and equipment, many of which became industry standards.
